Poetry Parody Manga

I actually drew this about a year ago, but didn't get around to posting it until now. Admittedly, the drawing and speech bubbles are distinctly rushed, as I did do this in a single night. However, the panelling and the dialogue turned out so much to my liking that I felt it was worth putting in deviations. If you feel that I am mistaken in this matter, however, feel free to correct my misconception.

Last year, my English class focused entirely on Brittish literature. That meant reading a ridiculous ammount of poetry. To break the monotony, my teacher gave us an assignment where we were supposed to make a comic that was also a parody of a Romantic-type poem. It had to relate to the poem, and had to have at least one line from the poem in it. I chose to parodize Percy Shelly's "To a Skylark", where the poet praises this little bird. I felt he was making moutains out of molehils, and from this concept sprang this.

These characters are really no one in particular, though they are entirely my creation. Much of the brother's dialogue is directly quoted from the poem.
